CUSTOMER SERVICE RECURRING OPENINGS Each quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring), the Bookstore seeks enthusiastic, reliable, and responsible students with good communication skills to fill temporary Customer Service/Cashiering positions during the rush period. Cashiering, customer service, bookstore experience (and/or a knowledge of literature) is desirable. Although these positions are initially temporary for the duration of the rush period (approximately the first 3 weeks of each quarter) they may lead to permanent part-time status. This is an excellent starting point if you are interested in long term Bookstore opportunities! All members of the Customer Service team as well as many members of other Bookstore departments began their Bookstore careers when they were hired to provide assistance during a rush period! Applications will be available at the Bookstore Customer Service Desk beginning the 7th week of each quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring).

PHOTOGRAPHER / VIDEOGRAPHER WANTED We need someone that can capture a slice of life and make it art, take a picture of a T-Shirt and make everyone want to buy it, videotape a concert and make everyone who views it, wish they were there. We need someone who understands art, light, photography, and live models and balance those elements to make - Strong creative skills for a variety of photographic images, including product, lifestyle, and portrait. - Strong people skills - Ability to work in a team - Strong Photoshop skills. This person will also assist our E-Commerce coordinator, as needed. Must be a full-time degree seeking currently enrolled UCI student. This job is an on-going position throughout the school year and summer. We're looking for someone who dreams, thinks, and loves photography-- who knows how to get the right picture at the right time with an eye for composition; who can take a picture of a computer and make it into a work of art; who knows how to convert the idea into reality. The UCI Bookstore Photographer will work with our senior photographer and a team of designers and programmers. He or she needs to know how to work with models and capture the "look" that we're trying to achieve for both our upcoming website and printed media. The UCI Bookstore Photographer will be our recorder of all things Bookstore, whether it be at our Mad Film Dash competition, Antstock Music Festival, at our Author Signings, or just recording the crowds at one of our big sales. MARKETING COORDINATOR WANTED A Marketing Coordinator is responsible for promoting the various departments of the UCI Bookstore and strengthening their respective brands. This is done through the coordination of large events, such as the Mad Film Dash, Antstock, and Photolympics, and through smaller events such as the Author Series and podcasts. Public speaking experience, copywriting experience, Final Cut Pro and filmmaking experience, and strong communication skills are among the qualifications of a Marketing Coordinator. Musical and music composition experience is a plus. Most importantly, an applicant should be excited about what The UCI Bookstore is doing for the campus community.
